This Day FOUR Years Ago

On this day FOUR years ago, we welcomed our sweet, precious Kyle into the world!

Dear Kyle,
You are growing up too fast. Daddy and I can't believe you are already four! That makes Daddy one year closer to 40 and his midlife crisis!

But I digress.

You are the sweetest, smartest, funniest, snuggliest little boy and we think you are the berries.

Right now you're favorite things are:

• Watching Curious George 
• Playing with Beck 
• Acting like Beck (sigh)
• Doing gymnastics
• Reading The Storm; your favorite story in the Jesus Storybook Bible
• Reading Guess How Much I Love You
• Pretend play; playing school, grocery store, restaurant
• Helping Mommy bake and licking the mixing spoons
• Going to MOPS on Wednesdays
• Going to Sunday school at church
• Going to the park

Hands down our favorite thing for you to do is say the blessing before each meal. Your prayers are sweet and innocent and we know God's heart melts every time He hears you. Mommy tears up every.single.time!

You're able to do so many things on your own now, like getting completely dressed without any help!
You're learning to take on responsibilities and chores, happily I might add. Thank you for helping set the table for dinner, taking your plate and cup to the sink when you're done eating, feeding the puppies, and letting us know when your brother is standing on top of a chair getting ready to take a nose dive on to the tile.

And while you're sweet, kind, and sensitive,  you are definitely all boy. The only time it's quiet in the house is when you and Beck are asleep. Otherwise, it's constant yelling, banging, screaming, singing, pounding, running, and jumping. We wouldn't have it any other way. 

We love your creativity, your kindness, your playfulness, and your enthusiasm about waking up every morning and finding out what the day will bring.

We love you sweet boy! We thank God every day for blessing our lives with you!
