Last Saturday we took Kyle to the
Children's Aquarium at the fairgrounds in Dallas. It's the perfect place for little kids. It's pretty small, but they have some really pretty aquariums. Kyle had a great time...he spent
most the entire time just running from tank to tank and looking at his reflection in the tanks' window sills. I thought he'd be a little apprehensive of seeing some of the bigger fish, especially the stingrays, but he wasn't bothered by them at all!
After the aquarium, we went near our old stomping grounds in Deep Ellum for lunch. We ate at the
Twisted Root, which is an amazing burger place. Seriously one of the best burgers I've ever had.
We haven't spent a Saturday just hanging out with the 3 of us in a long time. There are always home improvement projects going on that keep us at home...so this was a very nice change of pace!
