Matt and I never thought we'd be able to update our kitchen counters with granite. It was just a dream we had and we were ok with it. I mean, who doesn't love off-white laminate counters with a baby blue 'accent' on the front? Well, I stumbled on a great Groupon deal that made our granite dreams come true! Hip, hip, hooray! It totally went through our 'fix up the house so we can sell' budget, but we think it was a smart move and will pay off when we do put the house on the market.
Here are the before and after pics of the kitchen. Now, you'll notice how there is no backsplash yet, there are a few drawers missing, and that some of the cabinets still need to be stained, but that's how we roll around here. We'll get to it eventually. :) Also, the before pics are from when we first moved in and still had our 20+ year old appliances.We were able to get all new appliances last summer, which are so wonderful. Oh, and ignore that poor refrigerator that came with the house. It stands out like a sore thumb. The thing just won't die either....but that's ok; we need it to hang in for awhile longer!
