What a Champ!

Beck had his ear tube surgery yesterday morning. He did so well for 1) not being able to eat 7 hours before or drink 4 hours before the surgery and 2) being taken away from mommy for more than two minutes.

The procedure was so quick. Once they were ready for him, the nurse took him and told us to go back to the waiting room and they'd call us when the doctor was done. By the time we got to the waiting room and got situated (about 5 minutes), we were being called back to the office to speak to the doctor! Then about five minutes after that Beck was awake and ready to eat and head home!

If only all surgeries could be that quick and easy!

Poor baby was pretty glazed over from the anesthesia but it wore off quickly and he was back to his usual happy self in no time.

We're praying that these tubes keep that nasty fluid out of his ears and there will be no more infections!

I really think they've helped with his hearing too...he's been more vocal in the past 24 hours than he usually is. He and Kyle have started gibber jabbering back and forth. It's adorable!
