My 'baby' brother turned 30 a few weeks ago and for his gift, Desi and my parents got him the Richard Petty NASCAR Experience. The boy
(sorry Zac, you'll always be the chubby, curly haired toddler waddling around in a diaper in my mind!) is a natural born race car driver. I'm not really sure why he doesn't do it professionally. I'm sure he'd win and make lots of money. So this gift was definitely on his bucket list of must-do's.
Anyway, so the whole fam met up at Texas Motor Speedway on Sunday to watch him drive 8 laps around the track! It was a lot of fun and Zac totally looks the part of a race car driver. He was his usual calm, cool, and collected before his turn to drive, but once he pulled back into Pit Row and got out of the car, he was grinning ear to ear. Did anyone write the date down on that one? My brother isn't known for showing much emotion, enthusiasm, etc. He'd probably make a good poker player, too!
And if watching Zac race around the track at 138mph wasn't fun enough, our awesome 92 years young grandma decided she wanted to do a ride along! At 165mph! She had so.much.fun. In fact, she told the driver when they pulled back into Pit Row, "That's it? Can't we go around again?" Love it!
Here are some pics of the day!
